Installation and wiring of small single punch tablet press

     1. The tablet press is installed on a solid wooden workbench (it can also be installed on a cement platform) and fixed with three pairs of M12 anchor screws. The length from the work surface to the ground is about 600 mm (measured by hand cranking for ease of operation).

   In order to facilitate disassembly and repair, there should be a hole with a diameter of about 35 mm on the wooden workbench corresponding to the position of the lower punch phase rod.

     2. Before turning on the motor power, connect the motor to the ground wire to ensure safety.

Then remove the triangle belt, connect the motor power, start the motor and observe whether the motor rotation direction is correct (the rotation direction of the motor shaft should be opposite to the direction of the arrow on the protective cover or handwheel). If the rotation direction is wrong, wire it separately and then connect the triangle The belt is installed.

     1. Installation of die

     ¢ÅInstall the upper punch: Loosen the fixing screw of the lower punch, turn the handwheel to raise the lower punch rod to the highest position, and insert the lower punch rod into the hole of the lower punch core rod (make sure that the notched slope of the lower punch rod is aligned with the lower punch rod and tightened Fix the screw and insert it all the way) and finally tighten the lower punch fixing screw.

     ¢Æ Install the lower punch: loosen the upper punch fastening nut, insert the upper punch core rod into the hole of the upper punch core rod, insert it to the bottom, use a wrench to clamp the hexagonal bottom of the upper punch core rod, and tighten the upper punch fastening nut.

     ¢ÇInstall the middle mold: Loosen the fixing screws of the middle mold, hold the middle mold flat and place it into the hole of the middle mold platen. At the same time, make the lower punch enter the hole of the middle mold, press it to the bottom and tighten the fixing screws of the middle mold. When placing the middle mold, be careful to hold the middle mold flat to avoid getting stuck and damaging the hole wall when placing it at an angle.

     ¢È Turn the handwheel by hand to slowly lower the upper punch into the middle mold hole. Observe whether there is any collision or friction. If collision or friction occurs, loosen the fixing screws (two) of the middle mold table and adjust the middle mold table. The fixed position of the plate allows the upper punch to enter the hole of the middle mold, and then tighten the fixing screws of the middle mold platen. Adjust in this way until there is no collision or friction when the upper punch enters the middle mold, then the installation is qualified.

Turn the handwheel to raise the lower punch to the highest position, and observe whether the lower punch surface is aligned with the plane of the middle mold (either higher or lower will affect the piece release). If not, loosen the butterfly screw, loosen the gear pressure plate, and turn the movement Adjust the gear to make the lower punch surface flush with the plane of the middle mold, then still press the pressure plate up and tighten the butterfly screw.

At this point, crank the hand wheel by hand and run the empty machine for more than ten turns. If the machine is running normally, you can add material to test the pressure and make the next adjustment.

     3. Adjustment of filling depth (i.e. adjustment of tablet weight)

Unscrew the butterfly screw and loosen the gear pressure plate. Turn the lower adjustment gear to the left to raise the lower punch rod, then the filling depth will be reduced (the weight of the tablets will be reduced). After adjustment, still press the gear tooth pressure plate and tighten the butterfly screw.

     4. Adjustment of pressure (i.e. adjustment of tablet hardness)

Loosen the connecting rod lock nut, turn the upper punch rod, and turn left to move the upper punch rod downward. The pressure will increase and the hardness of the tablets extruded will increase; conversely, turn right to reduce the pressure and the hardness of the tablets. , after adjustment, use a wrench to clamp the lower hexagonal part of the upper punch rod, and still lock the connecting rod locking nut.

At this point, the adjustment of the die is basically completed. Then start the motor to test more than ten pieces. Check the weight, hardness, surface finish and other quality of the pieces. If they are qualified, they can be put into production. During the production process, the quality of tablets must still be checked at any time and adjusted in time.

     5. Disassembly of the die

     ¢Å Disassemble the upper punch: loosen the fastening nut of the upper punch and pull out the upper punch. If the fit is tight, you can use pliers to clamp the upper punch and pull it out, but be careful not to damage the punch edge.

     ¢ÆRemove the middle mold: loosen the fixing screw of the middle mold, unscrew the lower punch fixing screw, loosen the butterfly screw, and loosen the gear pressure plate. Turn the adjusting gear to raise the lower punch rod by ten millimeters. Gently turn the handwheel to make the lower punch rod push out part of the middle mold. Take out the middle mold by hand. If the middle mold fits tightly in the hole, Do not turn the handwheel hard top with force to avoid damaging the machine parts. At this time, the middle mold platen must be removed and the middle mold must be taken out.

     ¢ÇRemove the lower punch: First unscrew the lower punch fixing screw, then turn the handwheel to raise the lower punch rod to the highest position, and then pull out the upper punch rod by hand. If the fit is tight, you can use hand pliers to clamp it out (be careful not to damage the punch edge).

     ¢ÈAfter the die is disassembled, the adjusting gear must be turned to move the lower punch rod back about 10 mm. When the handwheel is turned to raise the lower punch rod to the highest position, its top is not higher than the bottom surface of the middle mold platen (this is OK). Don’t ignore this step to avoid collision accidents between the lower punch rod and the middle mold when using it again). Finally, screw on the lower punch fixing screw.

Disassembly and installation of main parts of small single-punch tablet press

1. Disassembly of the middle mold platen: Pull out the powder shielding plate, remove the hopper, unscrew the set screw of the feeder, unscrew the fixing studs and springs of the feeder, remove the feeder, and unscrew the fixing screws and springs of the middle mold platen. The washer can be used to remove the middle mold platen. Installation: Refer to the above in reverse order. Pay attention to alignment when tightening the fastening screws of the feeder. So as not to damage the wire hole of the feeder.

2. Disassembly of the upper punch rod: Loosen the locking nut of the connecting rod, turn the upper punch rod to separate it from the connecting rod, turn the handwheel to raise the eccentric shell to the highest position, and turn the eccentric connecting shell to swing the connecting rod forward. Above, the upper punch rod can be pulled out from above the mold base hole. Follow the instructions above for installation in reverse order.

3. Disassembly of the lower punch rod: Unscrew the lower punch fixing screw, butterfly screw and gear pressure plate and turn the adjusting gear to lower the lower punch rod and remove it from the bottom hole of the fuselage. Installation: Refer to the above in reverse order.

4. Connecting rod disassembly: first remove the upper punch rod, then remove the wire retaining ring on the connecting rod pin, take out the connecting rod pin, and then remove the connecting rod. Installation: Follow the above in reverse order.

5. Disassembly of the large pulley, pinion gear and bridge shaft: push down the triangle belt, unscrew the right end mother and washer of the bridge shaft (inside the fuselage), hold the large pulley firmly with your hands, and pull out the pinion gear and bridge shaft together. , and then you can pull the bridge shaft out of the wheel hole. (The large pulley, pinion gear and shaft sleeve are integrated into one, and generally do not need to be disassembled). Installation: Refer to the above in reverse order.

6. Spindle disassembly: Two people should do the spindle disassembly. First remove the large pulley, then unscrew the nut and remove the lever, lever shaft and filling roller. (Remove the handwheel and charging cam if necessary) Remove the protective cover, unscrew the screws and washers, and use a wooden hammer to hit the non-working surface inside the large gear (not serious). Remove it (be careful not to lose the lifting roller), then hit the shaft end with a wooden hammer and a copper rod (be careful not to damage the screw hole at the shaft end). At the same time, hold the other end of the shaft firmly and hold the eccentric wheel shell, and slowly lift it Remove the spindle. Installation: Refer to the above in reverse order.

Precautions to operate small single punch tablet press

1. Before using it for the first time, read the instructions carefully according to the actual machine and then use it.

2. This machine can only operate in a certain direction (see the arrow on the handwheel or protective cover) and cannot be reversed to avoid damage to the machine parts. Pay special attention when adjusting the tablet and don't be negligent.

3. Belt tightness adjustment: Adjust through two adjusting nuts on the electromechanical base plate. Pay attention to locking after adjustment.

4. When pressing tablets by hand when there is no power supply, the V-belt should be removed to reduce resistance and wear. But do not remove the large pulley as well, because the large pulley also serves as a flywheel to save effort.

5. When using electric tablet press, the rotating handle on the handwheel must be turned down to avoid hurting people during operation.

6. Regardless of manual tablet pressing or electric tablet pressing, the upper punch core rod should be in the rising position before starting and then start again. If the upper punching sheet is started in the lowered position, the middle punching sheet will be entered just after starting. At this time, because the machine's speed has not yet risen and the inertia is small, it is easy to jack up the machine. (That is, after the upper punch enters the middle mold, it is "topped" due to the resistance of the tablets, causing the machine to stop running. Due to the heavy load when jacking, the machine analysis is often damaged or the motor is burned out).

7. What to do after jacking up the machine:

¢Å If the tablet punching jacking occurs during electric tablet pressing, the power should be turned off immediately to avoid burning the motor.

¢Æ When the tablet maker jacking situation is light, you can use the hand to turn the handwheel to make the upper punch pass the "dead point" (but do not reverse it to avoid repeated feeding of the feeder, causing more serious car jacking).

¢Ç When jacking is serious, loosen the locking nut of the connecting rod, turn the upper punch rod to raise it to reduce the pressure, and then turn the handwheel to push out the tablets. Then readjust the tablet hardness.

8. During the tableting process, tablet quality (tablet weight, hardness, surface finish, etc.) must be checked frequently and adjusted in time.

9. The ingredient granulation process before tableting has a great impact on tableting. For example, the formulation and granulation of pharmaceutical ingredients and excipients such as slip materials, fillers, and binders (the condition of the powder, the tightness of the particles, the ratio of powder to particles, moisture content, etc.), all directly affect the quality of the tablets. And often due to improper granulation of ingredients, tablets cannot be formed, and the machine may even be damaged. Therefore, this machine cannot be used for tableting semi-solid or moist or particle-free very fine powders. During use, if you find that the pressure has been adjusted to a considerable level and still cannot be pressed into a piece, or even though it is pressed into a piece, it appears to be too loose, layered, fragmented, pitted, or powdered off, etc. You should find out the reasons and solve them from aspects such as ingredients. Do not blindly adjust and increase the pressure, which may damage the machine. In addition, although the hardness of some tablets extruded from medicinal materials is not high, they have a certain degree of toughness, and their drop resistance is not bad (usually it can be dropped to the ground from a height of 1-1.2 meters without breaking), so it should be To meet the requirements for transportation and storage, do not focus solely on hardness to avoid excessive tableting pressure and damage to the machine.
